Frequent Questions

Can I have a tour?

Facility tours are conducted year-round by appointment every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday between 9:30am & 12pm. Prospective parents are encouraged to set up a tour to see our child-centered environment, meet our faculty, observe interactions and determine if FPC CDC would be a good fit for their child and family. To schedule a 20-30 minute tour, please email cdc@fpcraleigh.org.

Is the CDC secure?
  • All doors are locked during center hours, although there is an open-door policy for parents.
  • Parents will be given a confidential door code to enter the Center whenever they desire to visit. Others will be asked to ring the buzzer and wait for assistance.
  • Parents will be registered by fingerprint or confidential code in the ProCare computer. The computer will provide a receipt for presentation to the child’s teacher. Others who do not routinely retrieve children will need to provide a suitable photo ID, which will be checked against the “Permission to Pick-Up List” submitted along with Enrollment Forms.
  • Faculty participate in periodic “lock down” drills, to assure that everyone knows how to respond in an emergency.
How big is the CDC?

There are 7 classrooms and 68 children enrolled. The center is large enough to expand your child’s horizons, but still small enough to feel like family! There are a spectrum of opportunities without the institutional feel that you may experience at larger centers. Our faculty knows parents, grandparents, and siblings by name and face.

Do you serve food during the day?

We provide our children with a healthy, morning breakfast, hot lunches and an afternoon snack daily for any children who are eating solid foods. An outside provider caters our daily lunch. Our staff prepares breakfast and snacks. We feature a nut-free menu. Should your family need additional support for dietary restrictions, please speak to the Administration during the enrollment process.

What is the tuition?

All children enrolled are considered full-time and must pay the full tuition. For current tuition rates, please contact the Center directly at 919.821.4478. If a child is absent from the Center or the Center is closed for holidays, inclement weather, teacher workdays, etc., tuition payment is still required.
